I'm an on again off again lurker/writer here but I can't remember my old account so had to create a new one. Atwill got the chance to peddle his swill on the Skeptiko podcast (a podcast that itself is interesting as it deals with controversial ideas). Sadly the host takes things like Acharya S and Atwill seriously. Anyways, Atwill is currently participating in the thread discussing his appearance on the show and attempting to peddle his nonsense using the alias gilius2K14. Are any of you interested in playing to show how seriously demented his theory is? www.skeptiko-forum.com/threads/241-joseph-atwill-responds-to-caesar's-messiah-critics.611/page-13

Oh wow. Atwill is a 9/11 Truther and general conspiracy theorist! Here's his justification for refusing to submit his work to proper academic review: What a nutjob!

I may be wrong. Gilius2k14 may not be Atwill, but is at the least a devoted fanboy.

Not Atwill, just a general nutter.

With fellow Mythicists like this, who needs "historicists" as opponents? But fortigurn's right, the poster is another bloke named Giles Gaffney: www.caesarsmessiahproven.com

What a fruitcake. Atwill's 'parallels' look like the haphazard exegetical muddling of a 1st year theology student.

In my experience, some people promoting loony theories have not been above creating alter egos to promote their agenda. You'll forgive me if I'm not entirely certain.

This article is particularly relevant to Mytherists. Emphasis mine.
