I've long admired his work defending and promoting evolution from a Christian perspective, but he seems to have "evolved" recently, at least if his Twitter feed is a good judge. He now takes a hardline physicalist stance on consciousness and his stance on science & religion is basically the late Stephen Jay Gould's NOMA barely revisited. Also, Wikipedia says he is now a Center for Inquiry fellow, which is rather odd for a Catholic. I sent him a tweet asking for clarification but didn't get any answer. What do you think of it?

I have no opinion either way and don't think it really is my business to pry, but as far as public statements go what he wrote here doesn't suggest he wants to distance himself from his earlier views. Also, I don't think that physicalism should be off-bounds for Christian believers.

This video from May on his Twitter page gives me no reason to question his faith.
He refers to himself as a practicing Roman Catholic but makes clear that his new book is written in a way that it will appeal to the secular mind. See at 12 minute mark of the video.

I must admit that I am a bit of a fan of Kenneth Miller.
