Nothing you quoted from Hurtado contradicts anything I saidYou said "But Peter just tells people Jesus was a man."He doesn't "just" say that. The context of my words was whether Peter says Jesus is a divine being and a man, or whether Peter just says Jesus is a man. Clearly he did the latter. Obviously I'm not saying those were literally the only words he spoke on the occasion.

I find this a bit rich coming from someone who's misrepresented me as saying things I've never said. Sankari, This remark indicates to me that this discussion is ceasing to be one between two people who wish to compare notes, and is in danger of becoming unfriendly and competitive. In this discussion, as in all my discussions, I try to avoid this. So if I've misrepresented you, I apologise. I have no wish or intention of doing that. I didn't think I had done so. I have explained why I found the discussion with Fortigurn to be frustrating and circular, and why I felt the same was happening with you. Your reply amply illustrated the reasons I have given and confirms my decision to finish up my involvement. Best wishes.
