For those interested, and fluent in Nordic, it may perhaps be of interest to hear that my latest book was released this week - the title in English would be something like "When the Earth became flat - The Myths that wouldn't die". It has 14 chapters and at the end a "Gallery of the Icons of Modernity" - 50 misconceptions about the Church or Christendom in History. Thanks, indeed I enjoy the cover. The designer is soon to have a fantasy book released in English, if all proceeds as planned.
If you can speak Norwegian, Danish or Swedish, you can read the book, even if it is in Norwegian (Swedes sometimes struggle a bit, though ;-)

Any chance of a release in Australian? Well, it would be nice, don't think so though  What I've basically done is looking at how incredible prevalent various parts of the Dark Legend are in Norwegian newspapers, textbooks for schools and universities, polemics by politicians and writers, as well as in the usual international suspects (Harris, Hitchens, Boorstein, Sagan etc.). Parts of this might translate well, others are too dependent on a familiarity with Norwegian ministers and papers. A translation would imply more of a rewriting into an Australian context, something which would be better done from scratch by an Australian, I think. |
