Yes that was interesting. Tollefsen appears to be a Catholic, so perhaps his views are not surprising, but I think they are correct nonetheless.

I meant that as a Catholic, he was not exactly unbiased towards christianity, just as I am not. So although he writes for a group that doesn't appear to be overtly christian (its emphasis is law and freedom), his views make it not unexpected that he would think as he does. I think it is always helpful to know people's backgrounds in understanding what they say, especially when the are part of organisations that appear to be neutral. Did you think I was expressing something more sinister??

Did you think I was expressing something more sinister?? No, not sinister - I was just wondering what you meant by being Catholic his views were not surprising. I know there are different approaches to the matter between Catholics and Protestants, which doesn't bother me really. I do agree about understanding people's background perspective and often seek to find out myself when dealing with perspectives on the matter.

It was nothing to do with Catholic vs Protestant (I'm not really interested in sectarian issues) but simply identifying his background. I'm sorry if I gave any other impression.

I was just curious what you meant. I didn't mean to accuse you of anything. No need to apologize - the misunderstanding was mine.
