I'm not sure if anyone is interested (I can't say I am all that much) but I have come across a new book promoting (yes!) a new view of Jesus that has somehow escaped all the world's scholars. It's Secret of the Saviour, and it's written by a guy with a Master of Theological Studies and a thesis on Mark's Gospel. But he's also a Unitarian, so I guess he has his own unique reason for wanting Jesus to be a myth. Just posting this as news.

But he's also a Unitarian Must be a Universalist Unitarian. Rationalist Unitarians and Biblical Unitarians would never deny the existence of the historical Jesus.

As soon as I read Unklee's comment about "Unitarians" I thought that either you or Big Bro would be all over this quicker than Gina Rheinhart on a lamb chop.

*cough* Good points though. A commenter by the name of Sid Martin left me a note about a forthcoming book he is writing (self-publishing?) on the Gos. Mark which looks to be absolutely dreadful. Here is the ‘about the book’ section quoted in full: I just loved the last commentators name: A Mythicist Salm of LamentClassic.

Same here, but I thought it with a much more mundane, dull phrasing. Still, it was a justified comment by Sankari. Must be a Universalist Unitarian. Rationalist Unitarians and Biblical Unitarians would never deny the existence of the historical Jesus. That's likely correct, the church's website is indeed very UU-esque. *cough* Good points though. I just loved the last commentators name: A Mythicist Salm of LamentClassic. It's actually a trackback from Exploring Our Matrix: www.patheos.com/blogs/exploringourmatrix/2012/12/pseudoscholars-at-sbl.html

The irony! Once again "Rook Hawkins" desperately apes a real scholar in the hope that one day someone will mistake him for one.
