I haven't read either book, but I note that Carrier was more scornful and rude about Casey's book (he was quite awfully personal) than he was about about Ehrman's. Does this indicate that he really thought it wasn't as well written, or that it criticised him or his views more and so he reacted more? I think it's because he recognised it as the stronger, more dangerous book. Mythers are always at their most aggressive when feeling most defensive.
