There seem to be a lot of people whose hobby is taking offence.
To take this to its logical conclusion, almost any conversation could be offensive. What happens if you praise the wrong football team, or offer a meatloaf recipe to a patient who turns out to be a vegetarian?

Well this is what they want. Shut the evil theists up and stop them from flouting their loony belief system in public. Sacking nurses and annoying bus drivers is part and parcel of the new atheist crusade. It's hard to think of a more sordid movement.

well speaking as an agnostic you will not believe the pain prayer causes me. I mean normal words don't hurt but words offered to a deity do! I feel left out, condemned and really, really mad knowing you think I am going to burn in the hell I don't believe in for eternity. So of course whenever speech hurts someones feelings we have to supress it, didn't you learn that in kindergarden?

They should also ban being hopeful for someone and having someone in your thoughts. Hope is "wishful thinking" and thoughts are useless. No praying, hoping or thoughtfulness allowed.
