I was just browsing the Richard Dawkins forum and came across this site:
www.truth-saves.com/
(Tim O Neil appears to have noticed it too - richarddawkins.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=91883 )
I have to say I am impressed by the quality of some of these Atheist and Fundamentalist Christian websites that get thrown up. the content is usually utter garbage, but one can't deny the slickness of the presentation, and thats often what counts when winning over public opinion.
This bit appears to be a straightforward cribbing from the no-beliefs site
www.truth-saves.com/Adolf_Hitler.php
Hitler did mention a dislike for "Christians" but only in reference to the sect of Christians that simply and unoriginally refer to themselves as "Christians." He himself though was in fact a Christians in the sense that he was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Just to make it clear, Christianity is divided up into many different sects including the Catholics, Mormons and the sect known as Christians (which was not one of the earliest Christians sects). Hitler hated all of these different sects of Christ followers, hence why he made his own sect
Hmmmmmmm....referring to Henry Picker's version of 'Table Talk'
Islam could enthuse me for their paradise. But if I imagine the boring Christian heaven! You have a Richard Wagner on earth, and over there you only hear hallelujah and palm fronds, baby children and elderly people! An islander does at least worship natural powers! Christianity teaches the idea of “transubstantiation”. That is the most insane idea, a human brain has ever come up with in its delusion, a mockery of everything divinity. Even a Negro with a fetish is much more superior, compared to someone, who believes in transubstantiation
But that was just some kind of doctrinal dispute right?
There would, he made clear, be no room in this utopia for the Christian Churches. After the trouble of the summer he had to take a line which appeased the party hotheads but also restrained their instincts. For the time being he ordered slow progression in the 'church struggle'. 'But it is clear', noted Goebbels, that after the war it has to find a general solution......there is namely an insoluble opposition between the Christian and a Germanic-heroic world view'.(Ian Kershaw, 'Hitler : Nemesis' p 449)
Oh God, not this again!
Over a period of 300 years, from 1484 to 1782, the Christian church put to death 300,000 women accused of witchcraft
...and there's no historical evidence for Jesus
