Thank you for writing the good popular account of the "continuity thesis" that Duhem advocated! I discovered your book in Ashley & Deely's 2012 How Science Enriches Theology pg. 27, which says:
Yet really it seems that the chief reason that many scientists, such as Weinberg, are so opposed to theism is that they fear it makes scientific research futile by explaining everything by a single explanation.46
Note 46 says:
