That's interesting, but I feel that the article left out a few steps in the logic - I couldn't see why the essential 'graininess' of space and time leads you to the conclusion that the universe is a hologram. Of course, the whole thing is complicated by the fact that I don't really understand what it means that the universe is a hologram - I understand what a hologram is, but don't understand what it means that the universe is like an appearance of a 3-D image created in 2-D...

'Speculative' I think is the word. Which is a nice way of saying 'wacky', 'out there' or 'unhinged'. Doesn't mean it isn't true though. As Haldane said 'the universe in not only queerer than we suppose, it is queerer than we can suppose'.

Apologies, my response wasn't in any way meant to be a dig at you, and I'm sorry if it came across as that. I was trying to express my problems with the concepts discussed in the article, which may be problems with the article or may be problems with my lack of understanding of the material.
