With the under age gymnasts, nobbled judges at the Taekwando and apparently lots of other dodgy decisions (which don't involve Brits so we hear nothing about on the BBC) is the Chinese position in the medal table bogus?
Is it possible a huge scandal could shortly erupt or would it be kept quiet?
Do the non-Brits here have any axes to grind about favouritism shown to Chinese competitors?
Best wishes
James

Well the dodgy Taekwando decision has been overturned. Apparantly unprecedented for the judges to be overruled.
It is all very fishy if you ask me.
Best wishes

Fortunately it is not only due to corruption (I think) as Norway got a dodgy descision in the Womens Handball semifinale (got incorrectly a last second score approved) against South Korea.
Which made us able to massacre Russia in today's finale.

Hasn't it been shown that all sorts of sports are subject to cheating and questionable practices? This Olympics they're keeping drug samples on ice for a decade so when new tests are developed they can re-test and strip people of medals. And competition is very imbalanced, with the rich western nations (and some others) able to afford advanced equipment, training methods, diet, sports psychologists, etc, etc, while some other competitors rely mostly on natural ability. It's all just different ways of varying legality to try to get an advantage. Worrying about the Chinese may be a bit one-sided. I enjoy seeing people do well, but it's hard to take it too seriously.
