This YouTube video is making it's rounds these days in the spirit of Zeitgeist. Origin and Symbolism of Christian Holy Days - www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVAQGB15whIAs it is strongly encouraged to share it with your Christian friends/family, I would think a lof of us will see it this Christmas and the next dozens... Please share this video with your Christian friends/family. As requested, I have taken a more objective look at the symbolism surrounding the Christian holy days of Christmas and Easter. In addition, I more closely examine the origins of Santa Claus as well as the Easter festival. Thanks to everyone that watched the original. I hope this re-edited version will be more acceptable to share with your Christian friends/family. Please remember to rate. Merry Christmas! =)- The birth of Christ is based on Mithra born 25.12. - Check - The Christian Celebration of Easter is stolen from a Pagan holliday - Check - The Church has stolen the Easter Bunny... - Check - The Church stole Christmas from the then ancient Saturnalia festival which celebrated 25.12. and Winter Solstice because the romans feared that the Sun would die - Check - The Christmas tree is a pagan leftover... - Check So, any volunteers with a voice and video to counter it...? Or perhaps J.P. Holding is up for it?

Hi Bjorn! I check this video and here is my response: Mithra was born in 25.12.(not all scholars agree with that) from a rock in already in adult form, so shepherds found him and drag him out from a rock. Of course Jesus did not born in December 25. He was born probably in spring. And I found only for Mithra born in that day and not others gods represent in video.
Resurrection is not stolen by pagans. And nobody don't know for sure what time Jesus died on cross and was resurrected. It was from Friday to Sunday, but not from 22-25. Yes eggs and Bunny are probably stolen from pagans. I heard, that it's stolen from Babylonians and also Christmas tree. In winter, god Nimrud died and born again in Tammuz, represented like tree.
Not heard yet. But church did stole some pagans statues, celebrations, rituals,...
They have some true stuffs in video, but mostly of this video is garbage.
Ask JP Holding and Glenn Miller for that. In their websites, they answer on all those questions. Check Holdings answers on copycat claims.

Holding recently opened a YouTube channel as a supplement to his website. Thanks, I know, that's why I mentioned him. The whole Mithra thing, Jesus as Solar Myth and other standard fares are ludicrious if one looks at the sources. I've written a lot on such Zeitgeist nonsense in Norwegian, also on the official skeptical site (by invitation from the editor who as an atheist and teacher of History of Religion at university level sees the need for corrections).
